Q: What are the dates for the residency sessions?
A: The first on-site, one-week residency seminar session, “Gateway Seminar” will take place August 25 – 29, 2014.  The second session will be held the week of July 27, 2015.

Q: What is the schedule like for the week long session?
A: Students are expected to be on campus Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 pm.  You should dress comfortably and bring a laptop.

Q: How do I register for classes after I complete each 7 week session?
A: The cohort will be automatically registered for each course in the sequence.

Q: Where can I find the sequence and dates for classes?
A: The schedule of courses is available on our program website.

Q: Are textbooks required for any classes?
A: Most of the courses will have required readings; information will be made available on the Learning Management System (LMS)

Q: What are the computer requirements? Will I need to buy and specific software?
A: Students must have a computer, tablet or smartphone to access course lectures and assignments available online 24/7.  for more information on hardware and software requirements please visit our website.

Q: Will I have access to the library at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai?
A: Students in the program will have the same access and library privileges as students attending courses on site.  Your Mount Sinai Life Number will grant you access to articles, books, periodicals and more.

Q: Who can I contact for technical support?
A: You should contact the Academic I.T. Support Center.  Information is available on their website.

Q: Will I have access to my professors since this these are online courses?
A: The Learning Management System provides for access to your professor using traditional email, video chat or phone.  Each professor will have office hours posted on their course page.
